Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa

The Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa allows non-EU/EEA nationals to live in Cyprus while working remotely. Introduced on 15 October 2021 by a decision of the Council of Ministers, the scheme is described by the EU as “teleworking for third-country nationals.”
It targets skilled individuals and entrepreneurs who work remotely and contribute to Cyprus’s economic growth, supporting the country’s business ecosystem.

ℹ️ Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must:

Work remotely in the IT or digital sector

Be employed by a foreign company or work for clients abroad

Earn a net income of at least €3,500 per month

Have a suitable residence in Cyprus
Income adjustments:

+20% for spouse/partner
-
+15% for each child
In March 2025, the Cyprus government increased the number of digital nomad permits by 500 additional visas, opening up new applications.

💰 Taxes for Digital Nomads
If a digital nomad is not a tax resident elsewhere, they may be considered a tax resident of Cyprus if residing 183 days or more in a calendar year. Benefits include:

50% tax exemption for foreign workers earning over €55,000/year
